10 year anniversary

Last night I meet with Steve Barnes for a general catch up. Steve and Jacqui were some of the first people we meet in Kingston and they were great at making us feel welcomed and supported.
Post of the focus of our conversations was the Oxygen 10 year anniversary service that its coming up on Saturday. Steve and I have a 10 minute slot labelled as reflections and memories. Last night as we chatted we quickly recalled all the hairy moments, the gangs rushing liquid oxygen, the queues around the block for the vent, the young people chased by the police, the football team with the winger who carried his phone on the pitch so he could continue his dealing and the night that Ed Davey kindly visited and was subjected to some embarrassing and inappropriate questioning.
It mi be easy to look back and see the problems with Oxygen given such a list however as we charted last night we realised that Oxygen was prepared to take a gamble, to do things differently and live on the edge. In the process mistakes have been madeand their have been times we have needed to stop step back and reset however by doing risky mission, thinking outside the box Oxygen had transformed lives, brought hope and love in new ways
